Energy Commission increases tariff for natural gas transportation for 2025-2029 2-4 times
The National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Municipal Services (Energy Commission) increased the tariff for natural gas transportation for LLC GTS Operator of Ukraine for 2025-2029 2-4 times.
This is announced by the ExPro publication, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
The corresponding resolution No. 2387 was adopted at a meeting on December 30, the report says.
The resolution comes into force on January 1, 2025.
According to the resolution, it is planned to double the tariff for entry/exit to the Ukrainian GTS for international points:
from EUR 4.1 per 1,000 cubic meters to EUR 10.29 per 1,000 cubic meters for most entry points to the Ukrainian GTS;
from EUR 7.6-8.6 per 1,000 cubic meters to EUR 14.58-15.74 per 1,000 cubic meters for most exit points from the Ukrainian GTS.
The tariffs do not include the connection points on the border with russia (Sudzha and Sokhranivka), since there is no information on the booked volumes for them.
The tariffs also take into account the scenario of no russian gas transit starting in 2025.
In addition, the tariffs for entry/exit from the GTS for domestic points have been increased by more than 4 times:
from UAH 101.93 per 1,000 cubic meters to UAH 464.37 per 1,000 cubic meters for domestic entry points to the GTS;
from UAH 124.16 per 1,000 cubic meters to UAH 501.97 per 1,000 cubic meters for domestic exit points from the GTS.
The coefficients for ordering capacity for certain periods for both domestic and international points were left unchanged:
for ordering capacity a day in advance - 1.1 for domestic and 1.45 for international;
for a monthly period - 1.04 for domestic and 1.2 for international;
for a quarterly period - 1.02 for domestic and 1.1 for international.
The current tariffs for short-haul gas transportation will remain unchanged until March 31, 2025.
The reduction coefficients were reduced for the 1st quarter of 2025, and from April 2025 they will be increased to a level that will be higher than now.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in November, the National Commission for the Regulation of Energy and the Energy Sector of Ukraine planned to increase tariffs for natural gas transportation 1.7-4.5 times for 2025-2029.
From January 1, 2025, Ukraine will stop transporting russian gas to Europe.
