Since beginning of day, number of combat clashes increases to 82 – AFU General Staff’s operational update

The Defense Forces of Ukraine are restraining the offensive of the russian occupiers. Terrorists continue to destroy Ukrainian cities and villages with missile, air and artillery strikes.

At present, the number of combat clashes has increased to 82.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has stated this in its operational update, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

Ukrainian defenders are taking the necessary measures to prevent the enemy from advancing deep into Ukrainian territory.

Today, the communities of the settlements of Petrushivka, Shalyhyne, Nova Huta and Bila Bereza in the Sumy Region were affected by enemy artillery and mortar fire.

On the Kharkiv axis, the enemy stormed the positions of our units once, in the Vovchansk area, a battle is underway.

On the Kupiansk axis, the russian occupiers attacked the Defense Forces once in the Hlushkivka area, a battle is ongoing.

On the Lyman axis, the invading army carried out 13 attacks on Ukrainian positions near Hrekivka, Pershotravneve, Kopanky, Novoiehorivka, Novoplatonivka and Makiivka during the day. Seven battles are still ongoing. Ukrainian soldiers are holding their defenses steadfastly and inflicting losses on the enemy.

On the Kramatorsk axis, Ukrainian defenders are repelling seven enemy attacks in the direction of Stupochky and Chasiv Yar. Five attacks have already ended without success for the occupiers.

On the Pokrovsk axis, russian invaders have made 33 attempts to push our defenders from the occupied positions in the areas of the settlements of Zelene Pole, Vozdvyzhenka, Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Dachenske, Zelene, Pokrovsk, Novyi Trud, Pershe Travnya and Shevchenko. The Defense Forces are holding back the onslaught and repelling 25 enemy attacks, eight clashes are still ongoing. The enemy is most active in the Dachenske area, where seven clashes took place.

On the Kurakhove axis, the enemy army attacked 13 times near Petropavlivka, Ukrainka, Kurakhove and Dachne. Seven attempts by the occupiers to advance have already been repelled.

On the Vremivka axis, nine enemy attacks took place near the settlements of Kostiantynopolske, Velyka Novosilka and Vremivka. Four battles are still ongoing.

On the Siversk, Huliaipole, Orikhiv and Dnieper axes, the occupation forces did not carry out active actions.

In the Kursk Oblast, Ukrainian defenders are repelling five enemy attacks.

On the remaining axes, there are no significant changes.
