Air defense forces shoot down 13 enemy UAVs at night, 11 lost in location
On the night of Friday, December 27, russian troops launched two Iskander-M ballistic missiles and 24 drones over the territory of Ukraine, air defense forces managed to shoot down 13 drones, another 11 UAVs did not reach their targets.
The Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on the Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports
It is noted that on the night of December 27 (from 7:00 p.m. on December 26), the enemy struck with two Iskander-M ballistic missiles from the Voronezh and Kursk Oblasts (russian federation), and also attacked with 24 Shahed attack UAVs and drones of other types from the directions of Oryol, Bryansk, Millerovo (russian federation).
"As of 9:00 a.m., the shooting down of 13 Shahed attack UAVs and other types of drones-simulators in the Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk Regions was confirmed. Due to the active countermeasures of the Defense Forces, 11 enemy drones-simulators were lost in location (without negative consequences)," the message says.
The air attack was repelled by anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups of the Air Forces and Defense Forces of Ukraine.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of Thursday, December 26, russian troops launched 31 drones over the territory of Ukraine, air defense forces managed to shoot down 20 drones, and another 11 UAVs did not reach their targets.
