"Every russian massive strike requires time for preparation. This is never a spontaneous decision. This is a conscious choice not only of targets, but also of time and date. Today, putin deliberately chose Christmas for the attack. What could be more inhuman?" he asked a rhetorical question.

According to the President, Ukraine was attacked with more than 70 missiles, including ballistic missiles, and more than a hundred strike drones. The main target was the Ukrainian energy sector, as russia continues to fight for a blackout in Ukraine.

"According to preliminary data, our defenders managed to shoot down more than 50 missiles and a significant part of the drones. Unfortunately, there are hits," the Ukrainian President noted.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the morning of Wednesday, December 25, measures were introduced to limit electricity consumption due to russia's massive missile attack on the territory of Ukraine.
