Rada creates list of terrorist organizations

The Verkhovna Rada has created a list of terrorist organizations (groups).

This was announced on her Telegram channel by Iryna Herashchenko, co-chair of the European Solidarity faction in parliament, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

A total of 282 MPs voted for the adoption of bill No. 12102, with a minimum of 226 votes.

A list of terrorist organizations (groups) will be formed and maintained in Ukraine in order to ensure national security and prevent, detect and stop terrorist activity.

The Security Service will be responsible for forming and maintaining the list.

The List will include terrorist organizations (groups) that carry out terrorist activities on the territory of Ukraine and/or abroad and pose a threat to the national security of Ukraine, regardless of whether they have the status of a legal entity or are registered by authorized bodies of Ukraine or foreign states.

The inclusion/exclusion of an organization (group) to/from the list is carried out by the Anti-Terrorism Center under the Security Service of Ukraine within 3 or 15 working days based on the conclusion of the Anti-Terrorism Center under the Security Service of Ukraine, agreed with the interested state authorities and intelligence agencies of Ukraine.

Political parties registered in Ukraine in accordance with the legislation cannot be included in the list.

The list of organizations will be formed publicly, the publication of relevant information is carried out on the official website of the SBU and on the Unified State Web Portal of Open Data.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on November 21, 2022, the Parliamentary Assembly of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) recognized russia as a terrorist state.
