Europe must quickly fulfill its promises to help Ukraine - Bloomberg

Europe must quickly fulfill its promises to provide aid to Ukraine, as the aggressor country of russia approaches Pokrovsk in the Donetsk Region.

This was reported by Bloomberg on Tuesday, December 17.

In the event of the loss of Pokrovsk, Ukraine will be left without half of its future steel production. The publication writes that European allies should transfer the promised aid to the country, which is repelling the offensive of the aggressor country of russia.

"Kyiv's exhausted defenders need all the weapons and ammunition they can get right now. Ukraine desperately needs and wants an end to the war, but in order for russia to agree to a real peace, and not just another pause between invasions, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy needs a strong hand at the negotiating table. Russia has no incentive to compromise right now, because it is winning," the material says.

Currently, according to experts, Europe owes Ukraine EUR 64 billion, as the gap between what was promised and what was delivered remains significant. Pokrovsk is of great importance for Ukraine, as it is home to the only mine in Ukraine that produces coking coal for carbonization of steel. It is also an important railway and automobile hub for securing Ukraine's defense lines.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on December 17, the Ukrainian analytical project DeepState claims that the russian occupiers allegedly managed to capture one settlement and advance near eight more. The enemy's successes were recorded in three sectors of the front in the Donetsk Region.
