Quotations of Ferrexpo shares fall after 2-week increase, down 7.2% to GBP 1.052 per share December 9-13

In the period of December 9-13, the quotations of shares of Ferrexpo plc (United Kingdom), which controls Poltava Mining and Yeristovo Mining (both located in Horishni Plavni, Poltava Region), at the London Stock Exchange decreased by 7.2% or GBP 0.082 per share to GBP 1.052 per share, after growing for two weeks in a row.

That follows from the data posted at the London Stock Exchange, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

According to the report, on December 9, the shares of the company were quoted at the level of GBP 1.134 per share; on December 10, they decreased to GBP 1.090 per share; but on December 11, they rose to GBP 1.092 per share.

On December 12, the share quotations increased to GBP 1.096 per share; but on December 13, they fell to GBP 1.052 per share.

The transactions were being conducted throughout the week.

Since the start of the year, the company's share quotations have increased by 16.5% (compared to the level of quotations on December 29, 2023 - GBP 0.903).

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in the period of December 2-6, the quotations of shares of Ferrexpo plc at the London Stock Exchange increased by 32.2% or GBP 0.290 per share to GBP 1.190 per share, growing for the second week in a row.

In the period of December 31, 2022 - December 31, 2023, the quotations of shares of Ferrexpo plc at the London Stock Exchange fell by 42.6% or GBP 0.669 per share to GBP 0.903 per share.

In January-June 2024, compared to the same period last year, the Ferrexpo plc increased its net profit twice, or by USD 28 million, to USD 55 million.

The group's earnings in the first half of the year increased by 64% to USD 549 million, mainly due to the recovery of exports from Ukrainian Black Sea ports.

In the first half of the year, the company increased EBITDA (Earnings before Taxes, Interest, and Depreciation) by 24%, or USD 15 million, to USD 79 million, which is largely due to increased revenue due to increased production.

Capital investments in the 1st half of the year decreased by 5% to USD 55 million.

The largest shareholder of Ferrexpo Group is businessman Konstantin Zhevago, who owns 49.3% of the company's shares.
