"The United States and more than 50 countries around the world have joined forces to provide Ukraine with the capabilities it needs to defend itself AGAINST russian aggression," the State Department said in a statement.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, U.S. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan denied reports that the Biden administration was open to returning nuclear weapons to Ukraine, saying "it is not under consideration."

Meanwhile, The Wall Street Journal, citing U.S. and Congressional officials, said the Biden administration is not in a position to spend the billions of dollars that lawmakers have allocated to arm Ukraine.
