About a thousand Ukrainians returned to the temporarily occupied territories.

This was reported by the Ministry of Social Policy at the request of Radio Svoboda.

As of December 2, 4.9 million internally displaced persons were registered in Ukraine. Over the year, the number of IDPs decreased by 250,000 people.

"As of November 1, 2024, a total of 29,000 people returned to their previous place of residence (about 7.7% of the total number of those who were deregistered)," the ministry said in a comment.

The Ministry of Social Policy explained that out of 29,000 people, one thousand returned to the temporarily occupied territories, while the majority returned to "conditionally safe territories", and another part to the territory where hostilities are ongoing.

"This number includes Ukrainians who returned to any of the regions of the country, including those that are considered conditionally safe (for example, Kyiv Region, Zhytomyr Region, Chernihiv Region, etc.). Of these 29,000: one thousand returned to the TOT; 18,900 to conditionally safe territories; 9,000 to territories of possible hostilities," the department explained.

We remind you that the occupiers are forcing schoolchildren to take tests on their knowledge of the russian federation's constitution at the TOT.
