North Korean soldiers in Kursk Oblast ready to engage in combat - Pentagon
North Korean troops in russia's Kursk Oblast are ready to engage in combat, but have not yet taken part in combat operations.
This was stated by the deputy spokesperson for the US Department of Defense, Sabrina Singh.
"North Korean troops are still in the Kursk Oblast," she said during a briefing.
The representative of the department also reported that the American side has not yet seen North Korean troops directly participating in combat operations.
"We know that they are ready to engage in combat and continue to monitor the situation," she added.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on November 22, the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Andrii Kovalenko, reported that the aggressor state of russia had transferred part of the North Korean military to the border areas of the Belgorod Oblast.
On November 7, Forbes reported that Ukrainian fighters repelled an assault by russian occupiers and North Korean troops in the Kursk Oblast.
On November 4, the Center for Countering Disinformation reported that the Ukrainian Defense Forces inflicted the first casualties on North Korean military personnel.
