We should not have "gray" zones with russia - Foreign Minister Sybiha

The aggressor country must withdraw from Ukraine and not leave any "gray" zones that it uses to spread its influence, said Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha.

This was reported by Bloomberg on Thursday, December 5.

The head of Ukrainian diplomacy stressed that Ukraine will not compromise on its territorial integrity, sovereignty or future security. At the same time, Sybiha warned against the emergence of "gray zones" in which russia can strengthen its influence.

"We need to eliminate gray zones, because russia is turning them into zones of influence. Instead, we need geopolitical certainty regarding Ukraine as part of the Euro-Atlantic community," the Foreign Minister said at a meeting of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.

Kyiv's peace plan is for "russia to withdraw from Ukraine and leave us alone," Sybiha emphasized.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on December 5, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha left the OSCE plenary session hall before the speech of the Foreign Minister of the aggressor country, russia, Sergey Lavrov.

On December 3, Sybiha called on allies to urgently supply Ukraine with at least 20 additional air defense systems to strengthen Ukraine's energy stability in the winter.

On November 29, Sybiha suggested that NATO member states make a decision on Ukraine's admission to the Alliance during a meeting in Brussels on December 3-4.
