NATO will not allow putin to use winter as weapon – Blinken

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken has said that the North Atlantic Alliance will not allow russian dictator vladimir putin to use winter as a weapon against peaceful Ukrainians.

He said this at a meeting of NATO foreign ministers in Brussels, Sky News reports.

Thus, Blinken said that he and the Biden administration will stand firmly by Ukraine's side until they leave office. The U.S. Secretary of State added that there is a "determination" to make sure that "Ukraine has what it needs to deal with what it's facing on the battlefield."

"But also to deal with the ongoing onslaught on its energy infrastructure, with once again Putin weaponising winter, trying to freeze people out of their homes, turn out the lights - we're not going to let that happen," he said.

We will remind, on the night of Tuesday, December 3, a drone of the aggressor country russia hit an energy infrastructure facility in Ternopil. Part of the city was left without electricity.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the UN previously stated that the attacks of the aggressor country russia on the energy system of Ukraine "have increased serious concern" about the fate of the civilian population. The organization once again called on the russian federation to stop attacks on energy infrastructure.
