Air defense forces destroy 88 russian UAVs, another 41 lost in location
From 6:30 p.m. on November 28, the military of the aggressor country of the russian federation attacked Ukraine with 132 Shahed attack UAVs and unmanned aerial vehicles of an unidentified type from the directions of Oryol, Millerovo, Kursk and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.
This is stated in the message of the Air Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
As reported, aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare equipment and mobile fire groups of the Air Forces and the Defense Forces of Ukraine were involved in repelling the attack.
As of 9 a.m., air defenses shot down 88 enemy drones in the Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Sumy, Kharkiv, Poltava, Zhytomyr, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia and Odesa Regions.
Another 41 UAVs were lost in location, presumably due to active countermeasures by the Defense Forces' electronic warfare, 1 drone returned to russia.
"As a result of the Russian attack in several regions of Ukraine, infrastructure, cars, private and apartment buildings were damaged, assistance is being provided to the victims," the Air Forces said.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in the Dniprovskyi District of Kyiv, a children's clinic building was damaged as a result of the fall of debris from an enemy drone on the evening of Thursday, November 28. There is one victim.
