Verkhovna Rada registers resolution to dismiss Defense Minister Umerov

A draft resolution to dismiss Rustem Umerov from the post of Defense Minister of Ukraine has appeared on the Verkhovna Rada website.

The draft was registered by Member of Parliament Oleksii Honcharenko, who wrote this on his Telegram channel.

Honcharenko is convinced that Umerov should resign and also receive a prison term.

"Umerov should resign. I registered a resolution to dismiss the Minister of Defense of Ukraine. After his dismissal, there should be criminal cases. And preferably a long prison term. I hope my colleagues will support and we will get rid of this POTUZHNYK as soon as possible," the MP wrote.

He justified his decision by saying that defective 120-mm mines were delivered to the front for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"The Ministry of Defense under the leadership of Umerov simply could not produce ammunition properly. The money was allocated. And the ammunition was produced defective. It was adopted and passed all the checks, and already on the FRONTLINE they realized that it was dangerous for personnel.

What to do now? We do not have ammunition. Which we need right now in the defense of Pokrovsk," added Honcharenko.

Recall that in early November, the Ukrainian military began to complain about defective 120-millimeter mines produced by Ukroboronprom that were delivered to the front. Currently, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has stated that it is investigating the reasons for their abnormal operation.
