In January we will see Trump's proposals, we will have plan to end war - President Zelenskyy

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine has every chance to end the war next year, and in January the proposals of the newly elected US President Donald Trump on ending the war should be clear.

The Head of State stated this during the 3rd International Grain from Ukraine Conference on Saturday, Interfax-Ukraine reports.

"We are open, I will say it again, and by the way, to the leaders of African countries, and Asia, and Arab states... We are ready to see their proposals.

I also want to see the proposals of the new President of the United States of America. I think that we will see these proposals already in January. And I think that we will have a plan to end this war," said the President of Ukraine.

Zelenskyy also noted that his meeting with Trump depends on many things, in particular on the legitimacy of its holding, while preparatory meetings are possible before the inauguration.

"I don't know when the meetings will be, I don't have data, the teams are working. It depends on many things, it depends not only on the schedules, it depends on the legitimacy of holding the relevant meetings. If we want meetings to resolve some issues... these legislative opportunities will take place after the inauguration. If we have some preparatory meetings, they can be before the inauguration," the Head of State said.

At the same time, the President stressed that before the meeting it is important not to give "an opportunity to certain waves, certain circles to quarrel the President of Ukraine and the President of the United States."

"This is very important, because there are many who want to," Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted.
