Russian missile strikes on November 16-17 damaged three out of five operational thermal power plants owned by DTEK.

Reuters has reported this, citing its own sources.

As a result, one of the thermal power plants had to be shut down. It is unknown how long it will take to restore it.

The other two facilities were partially damaged and have already partially restored electricity production.

An unnamed source emphasized that the targets of the russian missiles were the very energy facilities. However, the agency’s interlocutor refused to disclose details about the power losses, stating that they are “too sensitive.”

Recall that during the night and morning of November 17, russian terrorists used about 120 missiles and 90 drones to attack Ukraine. Air defense forces destroyed more than 140 air targets.

Besides, in the Dnipropetrovsk Region, two railway workers were killed and three more were injured as a result of russian shelling of a depot.

The russian federation also shelled DTEK thermal power plants, seriously damaging the equipment.
