Russia shells DTEK’s TPPs, equipment seriously damaged

The aggressor country of the russian federation attacked the DTEK thermal power plants during a massive attack on November 17.

The company's press service has reported this.

DTEK noted that the mass attack fell precisely on the energy infrastructure of Ukraine.

"As a result of the attacks, the equipment of the stations was seriously damaged. After the shelling ended, the employees of the enterprises promptly began to eliminate their consequences and restore the operation of the equipment," the message says.

According to preliminary information, there are no victims.

The company said that this is the eighth mass attack on DTEK power plants this year. In total, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the DTEK thermal power plants have been fired upon more than 190 times.

Recall that the Minister of Energy Herman Halushchenko said that the russians massively attacked the energy infrastructure in the morning. Because of this, emergency power outages were introduced in Ukraine.

Besides, energy infrastructure was damaged in the Volyn Region during a massive missile attack.
