North Korea sends at least 50 self-propelled howitzers and 20 modernized MLRSes to russia – media
North Korea has sent at least 50 of its self-propelled artillery systems and 20 modernized multiple launch rocket systems to russia.
The Financial Times writes about this, referring to Ukrainian intelligence data, which the publication received at its disposal.
We are talking about 170-mm M-1989 Koksan self-propelled guns, an echelon of which was previously spotted in Krasnoyarsk in the russian federation. Also, the russians could have received from North Korea multiple launch rocket systems - probably M-1991, which is an analogue of the Soviet Uragan (Hurricane) machine.
The DPRK claimed to have modernized this MLRS and equipped it with high-precision missiles. In general, it can fire both conventional and guided projectiles. As the FT writes, now the official Pyongyang wants to test this weapon in battle.
It is expected that russia will use this weapon in battles in the Kursk Oblast, where the occupiers have also concentrated a group of 12,000 North Korean soldiers.
