15 million cubic meters of water spilled out of the Kurakhove Reservoir, the dam of which was damaged by russian terrorists.
This was announced by the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Vadym Filashkin.
"Consequences of damage to the dam of the Kurakhove Reservoir - flooding of homes have not been recorded. As of 4:00 p.m. on November 12, 15 million cubic meters of water spilled out of the Kurakhove Reservoir," he wrote.
According to him, the villages on the Vovcha River were not flooded.
"We continue to monitor the situation. In case of significant changes, I will notify you additionally," the official added.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on November 11, the head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, Vadym Filashkin, said that the russian occupiers had damaged the dam of the Kurakhove Reservoir.
He said that the detonation of the dam led to the rise of the water level in the Vovcha River within the Velykonovosilkivska community by almost 1.5 meters.
According to Roman Padun, the head of the Kurakhove city military administration, due to the russian shelling, it is not possible to inspect the dam of the Kurakhove Reservoir.
