Due to shelling, it is impossible to inspect Kurakhove dam, blown up by russians - Military Administration
The russian occupation army blew up the Kurakhove dam in the Donetsk Region, in the villages located along the course of the Vovcha River, rising water is recorded. It is currently impossible to inspect the hydraulic engineering structure near the village of Stari Terny of the Kurakhove community due to shelling.
This was reported by Suspilne Donbas, with reference to Roman Padun, the head of the Kurakhove City Military Administration.
The fact that the dam was damaged was confirmed to the publication by the head of the community on whose territory it is located.
"We know that water is flowing through the villages located near the Terny dam. We cannot confirm the nature of the damage and the criticality. We cannot inspect the dam due to constant shelling as of now," Padun told Suspilne.
According to him, there were data that the water is approaching the settlements of the Velykonovosilkivska community.
"We have in other settlements of the Velykonovosilkivska community that water is flowing there as if the sluices are opened. Then we state that the dam is probably damaged," Roman Padun clarified.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, last Sunday, November 10, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that during the week, the occupiers had used more than 800 aerial bombs against Ukraine.
We will remind you that on November 7, the russians shelled the town of Mykolaivka in the north of the Donetsk Region with artillery. Seven people became victims of the attack.
