Money, food and technology for missile program. Experts say what DPRK will ask russia for provision of troops

For entering the war against Ukraine, the aggressor country russia promised North Korea (DPRK) money, food and assistance in the development of the missile program.

This is stated in the material of the British publication The Independent.

According to experts, for sending soldiers to war against Ukraine, the leadership of North Korea will receive cooperation with the russians in the nuclear and space industries.

North Korea also received money and food from russia, which for Pyongyang, which is under numerous sanctions and is in a difficult economic situation, is no less important than assistance in launching ballistic missiles.

However, analysts emphasize that for Pyongyang these are more temporary and predictable benefits. The question remains what the country wants to gain from joining the war against Ukraine in the long term.

Experts believe that North Korean leader Kim Jong Un is the least interested in food and money from russia. They believe he is most interested in obtaining advanced technology for his space and nuclear programs. This would allow Kim Jong Un to threaten South Korea, his number one enemy.

The publication reminds that on October 30, South Korean Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun said that North Korea will most likely ask russia to transfer to it technologies related to tactical nuclear weapons, the development of intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs), reconnaissance satellites and underwater ballistic missile launchers.

Experts agree that russian technical assistance could prove useful for North Korea, which is facing difficulties in developing its missile capabilities.
