Zelenskyy announces first battles with North Korean soldiers

The first battles with soldiers from North Korea took place, which opens a new page of instability in the world.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this in his evening address on Tuesday, November 5.

According to him, a strong and sufficient counteraction to russian aggression and terror is needed. Zelenskyy thanked the allies who are preparing a response to support the defense of Ukraine.

"The first battles with North Korean soldiers opened a new page of instability in the world. Together with the world, we must do everything so that this Russian step to expand the war, to a real escalation, so that this step of his becomes a losing one. Both for him and for North Korea," emphasized the President.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on November 5, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov confirmed the first battles of the Defense Forces of Ukraine with the North Korean military.

On November 4, Andrii Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, said that the Defense Forces of Ukraine had inflicted the first casualties on North Korean servicemen.
