Air defense downs 31 Shaheds and one Kh-59/69 missile during night

Overnight into November 1, the russian invaders attacked with guided aerial bombs, 3 guided aerial missiles Kh-59/69s, as well as 48 Shaheds and unmanned aerial vehicles of an unknown type. Air defense forces destroyed 31 enemy drones and 1 guided aerial missiles Kh-59/69, the rest did not reach their targets.

This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

So, that night, the enemy struck with 3 Kh-59/69 guided aerial missiles from the airspace of the temporarily occupied Kherson Region, attacked with 48 attack UAVs of the Shahed type and unmanned aerial vehicles of an unknown type from the directions of Oryol, Kursk - the russian federation. In addition, the tactical aviation of the russian federation struck with guided aerial bombs on the Kharkiv, Sumy and Zaporizhzhia Regions.

It is indicated that the air attack was repelled by anti-aircraft missile forces, aviation, electronic warfare units and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

As of 08:00 a.m., the downing of 31 enemy UAVs was confirmed, another 14 UAVs were lost in location, 3 UAVs flew in the direction of Belarus.

"Also, anti-aircraft defense managed to shoot down one Kh-59/69 guided aerial missile, the rest, due to active countermeasures, did not reach their targets," the department reported.

Anti-aircraft defense worked in the following regions:

• Kirovohrad,
• Kyiv,
• Cherkasy,
• Vinnytsia,
• Zhytomyr,
• Khmelnytskyi,
• Sumy,
• Chernihiv,
• Odesa,
• Poltava.

According to preliminary results, there were no victims. However, as a result of the russian missile-drone attack, several civilian enterprises were damaged due to falling debris, as well as apartment buildings and private houses in the Poltava, Cherkasy, Kyiv, and Odesa Regions.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, an air alert was announced in Kyiv on the night of November 1 due to an attack by russian strike drones - the movement of enemy UAVs towards the capital was recorded. At 04:43 a.m., the Kyiv City Military Administration announced that the threat of enemy air attacks had been finished in the capital.
