Occupiers approach Kupyansk within shot distance from any type of weapons - Administration
The occupiers came close to Kupyansk, Kharkiv Region, at a distance of a shot from any type of weapons.
Andrii Besedin, the head of the city's military administration, told the Espreso TV channel about this.
The russians are attacking along the entire front line, attracting a lot of equipment and manpower, and are gradually pushing the defense forces out of positions near Kupyansk, he said.
"Unfortunately, the enemy has local successes. There is a question of access to the Oskil River in certain areas, as well as the approach and proximity to the city itself," said the head of the City Military Administration.
According to his data, the occupation army is already 2.5-3 km from Kupyansk. Besedin noted that the two channels of the Oskil River work as a "natural fortification" for the city. The right bank of Kupyansk is located at a height, so the entire front line from Dvorichna to Svatove is visible.
"All the enemy's weapons reach the central parts of the city. The tank is operating on the territory of populated areas, so the situation is extremely difficult," stated the head of the local government.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, evacuation from Kupyansk area is becoming more difficult in th e Kharkiv Region - russian troops are attacking crossings across the Oskil River.
The russian army carried out an airstrike near a shop and market in Kupyansk, 9 injured are known.
