In Afghanistan, Taliban forbids women to talk to each other
In Afghanistan, the Ministry of Propaganda of Virtue and Prevention of Vice of the Islamic movement Taliban forbade women to talk in the presence of other women.
This is reported by Amu TV.
Now women are even forbidden to pray and read the Koran aloud if other women are around.
The new restrictions have sparked outrage among Afghan women. They asked to be protected from the country's repressive policies, but restrictions were tightened.
So, female medical workers do not even have the right to talk to men, who accompany other women to the hospital. That is, a female medical worker cannot tell a woman's relative how to care for a sick person.
In addition, women were obliged to completely cover their bodies, including their faces.
"How are women, who are the sole breadwinners of their families, supposed to buy bread, seek medical care or simply exist if even their voices are banned? These decisions bind women and make life difficult for all of us," says one of the activists.
Human rights activists and residents of the country condemned such rules, calling them a misogynistic policy.
It will be recalled that the restriction of women's rights began after the seizure of power in Afghanistan by the Taliban. For example, women were banned from studying at universities, they were banned from entering entrance exams, they were banned from working in non-governmental organizations, playing sports, visiting amusement parks and driving in cars without a hijab. Beauty salons for women were also closed in the country, and women were prohibited from visiting the Band-e-Amir National Park. Women and girls, who have experienced violence, are sent to prisons. Those who try to defend their rights are promised to be stoned.
Meanwhile, the aggressor country of russia invites the Taliban to forums held in russia.
