UN tells whether Zelenskyy really denied Guterres visit to Ukraine

The Deputy Spokesman for the UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, Farhan Haq, did not confirm the information of the French agency AFP that the visit of Guterres was allegedly canceled by Kyiv due to the participation of the UN Secretary General in the BRICS summit. Haq stated this in a comment to Suspilne on Friday, October 25.

The Deputy Spokesman for the UN Secretary General did not confirm the cancellation of Guterres' visit, as the French agency reported with reference to an unnamed official from the Office of the President of Ukraine.

"We are trying to organize the visit at a mutually convenient time. They [Zelenskyy and Guterres] discussed the visit during the meeting in September," Haq emphasized.

We will remind, on October 25, the French agency AFP reported that the alleged participation of UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres in the largest diplomatic event of the aggressor country russia since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine "caused anger in Kyiv".
