Germany's Rheinmetall hands over 20 Marder IFVs to Ukraine

The German company Rheinmetall has handed over 20 more Marder infantry fighting vehicles to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

It was reported by the company's press service.

They noted that the delivery took place at the end of the third quarter of 2024.

The total number of combat vehicles sent to Ukraine under the agreement on the so-called "ring exchange" is about 200.

Of them, more than a hundred are Marder 1A3 models, which are equipped with a modern laser rangefinder, which makes it possible to increase the accuracy of hitting targets on the battlefield.

The last 20 BMPs provided to Ukraine were ordered and financed by the German government.

The Rheinmetall company first received an order for the supply of these IFVs back in March 2023.

Recall that earlier Ukraine ordered eight advanced surgical stations for the Armed Forces from the German concern Rheinmetall.
