First North Korean soldiers will be used in combat zone October 27-28 — Zelenskyy
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the first deployment of North Korean military personnel in combat zones is expected on October 27-28. Yesterday it became known that part of the North Korean military is already in the Kursk Oblast.
Zelenskyy announced this today, October 25, based on the report of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi.
According to him, Syrskyi told him that, according to information from Ukrainian intelligence, the russians intend to use North Korean troops in combat zones as early as October 27-28.
"This is an obvious escalating step by Russia, which is significant, in contrast to all the disinformation that has been heard a lot in Kazan these days," the President said.
Syrskyi also informed Zelenskyy about the situation on the front line. Special attention is currently being paid to the Lyman, Pokrovsk and Kurakhove axes.
Zelenskyy emphasized that it is difficult in the Donetsk Region now, but units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine are holding their positions and doing everything possible to destroy the occupiers.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on October 24, the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine announced that the first North Korean soldiers had already arrived in the Kursk Oblast.
Recall that earlier in the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, it was assumed that at the initial stage, North Korean troops could be used in the Kursk Oblast. After that, they may be sent to the occupied territories of Ukraine.
We also wrote that, according to information from South Korean intelligence, North Korea, in addition to ground troops, sent combat aviation pilots to the russian federation.
