Air defense forces shoot down 36 out of 63 enemy drones during night
On the night of Friday, October 25, russian troops attacked the territory of Ukraine with 63 Shahed attack drones and unmanned aerial vehicles of an unknown type, the air defense forces managed to destroy 36 UAVs, while 16 russian drones were lost in location.
The Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this on the Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
It is noted that last night the enemy attacked Ukraine with Shaheds and unmanned aerial vehicles of an unknown type from the areas of Oryol, Kursk and Primorsko-Akhtarsk (all - russian federation).
"As of 10:00 a.m., the shooting down of 36 enemy UAVs in the Odesa, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Vinnytsia, Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy, Lviv, Rivne, and Poltava Regions has been confirmed," the message reads.
Most enemy UAVs were shot down in the Odesa and Kyiv Regions.
In addition, 16 russian drones were lost in location.
Information regarding the enemy attack is being refined and updated.
The air attack was repulsed by anti-aircraft missile forces, aviation, electronic warfare units and mobile fire groups of the Air Forces and the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of October 24, russian troops attacked the territory of Ukraine with two Kh-22 cruise missiles, two Kh-59 guided air missiles, 50 Shahed type UAVs and drones of an unspecified type.
Air defense forces shot down 40 UAVs, 7 russian drones were lost in location, 2 returned in the direction of russia and Belarus.
On the night of October 25, a fire broke out in one of the districts of Kyiv due to the fall of the debris of an enemy UAV.
Overall, overnight into Friday, the russians attacked the capital with two large waves of attack UAVs. Air defense forces discovered and neutralized up to one and a half dozen enemy Shaheds that threatened Kyiv.
