Air defense forces destroy 57 UAVs of russians. Combat work continues
On the night of Wednesday, October 23, russian troops attacked the territory of Ukraine with 81 Shahed-type attack UAVs, drones of an unknown type from directions and a guided air missile, the air defense forces managed to destroy 57 UAVs, 10 UAVs were lost in location, up to 9 UAVs are still in the air of Ukraine.
The Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this on the Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
During the night (from 10:00 p.m. on October 22), 81 attack UAVs (of Shahed type and unidentified type) were detected in the airspace of Ukraine from the directions of Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Kursk - russia.
The enemy also attacked the Odesa Region with a Kh-31P guided missile from the Black Sea.
"As of 9:00 a.m., the shooting down of 57 enemy UAVs in the Odesa, Mykolaiv, Vinnytsia, Sumy, Cherkasy, Khmelnytskyi, Ternopil, Kirovohrad, Kyiv, Poltava, Chernihiv and Kharkiv Regions has been confirmed. In addition, 15 Russian drones have been lost in location at this time. 9 enemy UAVs are observed in the airspace of Ukraine," the message reads.
The air attack is repulsed by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units and mobile fire groups of the Air Forces and the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of Tuesday, October 22, russian troops attacked the territory of Ukraine with 60 drones.
Air defense forces managed to destroy 42 UAVs, 10 enemy drones were lost in location, 3 returned to russia.
