Israel confirms elimination of Hamas leader, who organized massacre on October 7

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Israel, Israel Katz, confirmed the elimination of the leader of the Hamas group, Yahya Sinwar.

This was reported by the Times Of Israel on Thursday, October 17.

"Mass murderer Yahya Sinwar, who is responsible for the massacre and brutality of October 7, was killed today by IDF soldiers," Katz said.

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant called on Hamas fighters to release the hostages and surrender after Sinwar's killing.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on October 4, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that an Israeli airstrike had killed one of the leaders of the Hamas paramilitary group in the West Bank of the Jordan River.

On October 2, Hamas claimed responsibility for a deadly terrorist attack in Tel Aviv.

It will be recalled that on the morning of October 7, Hamas militants launched a massive attack on the south of Israel from the territory of the Gaza Strip.
