Since the beginning of russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, 46 Ukrainian military personnel have gone abroad on vacation and have not returned since.

It was noted there that military personnel can cross the border like the rest of Ukrainians, and their passage is ensured by authorized officials.

Military leave is not limited in time. They must have permission from the commander of the military unit to travel to another country. However, 46 military personnel did not return from leave between February 24, 2022 and September 30, 2024.

"Such servicemen are counted as those who voluntarily left military units," says the response to the request.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, 10 members of the Verkhovna Rada urged not to suspend the service of servicemen who voluntarily left military units or places of service or deserted.

In September, the co-founder of the Democratic Ax, Viktor Trehubov, was outraged by the lies of Serhii Hnezdilov, a serviceman of the 56th Mariupol separate mechanized brigade, who stated that he voluntarily left the military service in order to draw attention to the problem of demobilization.
