Lawyer of suspect in Farion murder tries to get him out of custody, but court refused
The lawyer of the suspect in the murder of Iryna Farion, Vyacheslav Zinchenko, tried to get him out of custody, but the Court of Appeal refused to grant his request.
This is stated in the decision of the Court of Appeal, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
The Lviv Court of Appeal considered the appeal of the lawyer on behalf of the suspect regarding the extension of the arrest.
"The ruling of the investigative judge of the Halytskyi District Court of Lviv dated September 19, 2024 on the extension of a preventive measure in the form of detention of a suspect in criminal proceedings dated July 19, 2024 in the commission of a criminal offense provided for in Part 1 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine shall be left without changes," the court's decision states.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, many people may be involved in murder of Farion.
Investigators determined by the smell of blood that the suspect in the murder of Farion was at the scene of the crime. The investigation into the murder of the linguist Iryna Farion ordered a psychiatric examination of the suspect Vyacheslav Zinchenko. The defense of Iryna Farion's daughter wants life imprisonment for suspect Zinchenko.
