Foreign Ministry responds to Jared Leto's words about "russian energy" and concerts in Moscow

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine reacted to the words of Thirty Seconds to Mars frontman Jared Leto about holding concerts in St. Petersburg and Moscow, and then in Kyiv.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in X (formerly Twitter).

“Jared Leto’s "feeling the Russian energy" and his wish to perform in russia is an insult to those sacrificing lives to defend freedom. There can be no appeasement for russia when it continues its attempts to solve "problem" of Ukraine’s very existence,” the post reads.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, during a performance in Serbia at a concert, Leto said that he feels "a lot of russian energy" and plans concerts in St. Petersburg, Moscow and Kyiv when "the problems are over", referring to the full-scale aggression of russia.

It is worth recalling that Jared Leto expressed support for Ukraine at the beginning of the russian invasion of Ukraine. In March 2022, he held a live broadcast on Instagram, where he communicated with Ukrainians to tell the world about the situation in the country.

Before the full-scale invasion, Jared Leto came to Kyiv and even climbed the pillars of the Rybalskyi Bridge. He called for the construction to be turned into an industrial park and named after him.
