Rada withdraws fugitive MPs Odarchenko and Dmytruk from committees

The Verkhovna Rada expelled Members of Parliament Andrii Odarchenko (Servant of the People faction) and Artem Dmytruk (Restoration of Ukraine parliamentary group) from the parliamentary committees.

MP from the Holos faction, Yaroslav Zhelezniak, announced this in his Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

A total of 245 MPs voted for the draft resolution No. 12099, out of the minimum required 226.

In particular, the document withdraws MP Andrii Odarchenko, elected by the quota of the Servant of the People faction, from the position of a member of the committee on anti-corruption policy, and Artem Dmytruk, a member of the parliamentary group Restoration of Ukraine - from the committee on law enforcement activities.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Pecherskyi District Court of the city of Kyiv chose a preventive measure in the form of detention for the member of the Verkhovna Rada, Artem Dmytruk, who fled from Ukraine.

The High Anti-Corruption Court arrested in absentia the member of the Verkhovna Rada, Andrii Odarchenko, and charged to the budget the UAH 15 million bail paid for him.
