Rada international committee explains whether North Korea will become enemy of Ukraine due to presence of their troops

North Korea will be considered complicit in russia's aggression against Ukraine if the information about the presence of their officers in the occupied territories is confirmed.

Oleksandr Merezhko, a member of the Verkhovna Rada from the Servant of the People faction, head of the parliamentary committee on foreign policy and interparliamentary cooperation, told journalists about this, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"The fact is that when another state helps a state that is a criminal, that commits the crime of aggression and provides military-technical assistance, then this is also complicity in the commission of the crime. This is very dangerous and it indicates that we are waging war for our liberation is not only against russia as the main aggressor state, but also against an entire coalition of totalitarian regimes. Belarus is an accomplice in aggression from an international legal point of view. North Korea, if this information is confirmed, we can also qualify," he said regarding the alleged death of North Korean army officers in the occupied territories.

According to him, there is no official confirmation of the information that six officers of the North Korean army were killed in the occupied territories.

Merezhko noted that the reaction of Western countries to the presence of the North Korean military should be the strengthening of sanctions against the DPRK until the "total isolation of this country."

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Andrii Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council, said that North Korea had sent military to Ukraine, some of whom had already been killed.
