Mykhailo Podoliak: We are offered to agree that pleasing aggressor will kill its appetite
Mykhailo Podoliak, adviser to the head of the President's Office, criticized the "peace plans" offered to Ukraine in the Western media, noting that they not only do not meet the interests of Ukraine, but also contradict the principles of parity and security.
The politician published the relevant post in his Telegram channel:
"The fundamental problem of the strange "peace plans", "compromise options" and "de-escalation strategies", references to which circulate in the global information field, is not that they absolutely contradict the aspirations of Ukraine, they contradict the foundations of parity and security. They are categorically impossible, because contradict the basic logic, in which it is obvious that the aggressor's non-failure only encourages it to continue its expansion...
Therefore, for some reason, we have to accept the completely illogical thesis that the shooting down of russian missiles flying over Ukrainian cities by NATO forces can inflame the war more strongly. Exactly? In general, we don't see any inconsistency that it is possible to shoot at Shaheds, but it is forbidden to shoot at their launch sites? That is? Shoot down the arrows, and let the archer-shooter rest, let him continue to be happy. We are offered to agree that pleasing the aggressor will kill its appetite. That leaving the state on the border with Europe in danger / in a state of frozen war corresponds to the security interests of Europe, and Ukraine's consent to the loss of territories and millions of their inhabitants - to our Ukrainian interests. What logic can be used here?
But/but... It is customary to laugh at "flat earthers" and "inventors of perpetual motion machines". Do the engineers of illogical diplomatic structures, that precisely encourage the aggressor to raise the genocidal stakes, deserve respect?"
