Air defense forces shoot down 2 Kinzhal missiles and 32 Shaheds
The russian occupation army struck Ukraine at night and in the morning on October 7 with an Iskander-M ballistic missile, three Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles, an Kh-59 guided air missile, a missile of an unknown type, as well as more than 70 attack drones, the air defense forces managed to destroy 2 Kinzhal missiles and 32 Shahed drones.
The press service of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
It is noted that from 8 p.m. on October 6 to 8:30 p.m. on October 7, the enemy attacked Ukraine with an Iskander-M ballistic missile, a Kh-59 guided air-launched missile, a missile of an unknown type from the Kursk and Belgorod Oblasts of the russian federation, and also launched Shaheds from the districts of Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Kursk, Yeysk and Oryol (all - russia).
Around 8:20 a.m., the russians launched an attack with three Kh-47M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles from three MiG-31K aircraft from the airspace of the Tambov Oblast of the russian federation (departure airport - Savasleyka).
In total, more than 80 air targets were identified and tracked by the Air Forces’ radio engineering troops.
"As a result of the anti-aircraft battle, two Kh-47M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles were confirmed to have been shot down in the Kyiv Region and 32 enemy attack UAVs in the Mykolaiv, Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, Chernihiv, Poltava and Kharkiv Regions," the message says.
Several hits by enemy attack UAVs were recorded in the Kharkiv Region near the front.
One of the three Kinzhal hit in the vicinity of the Starokostiantyniv airfield in the Khmelnytskyi Region.
In addition, 37 russian drones were lost in location in various regions of Ukraine, presumably as a result of active countermeasures by electronic warfare.
One UAV was still in the air as of 11:30 a.m.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on Monday morning, the russian occupying army struck Kyiv with Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles, all aerial targets were destroyed.
Missile fragments fell in three districts of the capital.
There was no information about the victims.
On October 7, fragments of a Kinzhal missile fell in the Solomianskyi and Holosiivskyi Districts of Kyiv. There were no casualties or damage as a result of the incident. There were also explosions in the Khmelnytskyi Region. Before that, the Air Forces reported the movement of high-speed targets to Kyiv and Starokostiantyniv, located in the Khmelnytskyi Region.
The Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine warned about the missile danger throughout the territory of Ukraine due to the MiG-31K, as well as the launch of high-speed targets.
