Parimatch owner exits gambling business
Kateryna Biloruska, Parimatch Group owner, expresses desire to leave the industry.
Kateryna Biloruska, co-owner of Parimatch Group, made a statement regarding her wish to exit the gambling industry, namely the Supervisory Board at Parimatch. The following news was shared via her LinkedIn page.
"After over a decade in the dynamic world of iGaming, I decided to quit this industry, which has previously occupied the majority of my professional and personal life. I leave my position of the Member of Supervisory Board at Energame", said Kateryna Biloruska.
The entrepreneur added she feels like putting in more effort into investing outside the online gambling world.
The company’s left in capable and reliable hands, she said, as the strong management and skillful team push the business towards new professional summits.
According to SBC News, frequent reporter on gambling, Kateryna Biloruska is to sell her controlling stake to Sergey Portnov, fellow co-owner. The publication cites the source familiar with the details of the transaction in question.
Mr. Portnov joined Parimatch Group in 2011 as Marketing Director, later becoming the CEO of the enterprise. He then joined the ranks of the company’s shareholders, eventually being appointed the Chairman of Supervisory Board in 2024.
Parimatch Group is one of the world’s leading betting operators, present in Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America. Parimatch is the official betting partner of Argentina national football team, Leicester City F.C., Nottingham Forest F.C.
In March 2023, the National Security and Defense Council sanctioned Parimatch Group. The company reportedly appealed the decision, calling in unjust and ill-founded. Since the ban on activities on Ukrainian soil, Parimatch Group has been actively expanding its presence in international markets, scaling it business operations worldwide.
