US allocates USD 825 million to support Ukraine's energy industry
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has announced the allocation of USD 825 million to support Ukraine's energy sector this winter.
This is stated in the notification of the Ministry of Energy, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"Today, USAID Administrator Samantha Power announced the allocation of USD 825 million to support Ukraine's energy sector. We are grateful to the U.S. government and the American people for their consistent support, particularly in the restoration of energy system facilities destroyed by Russia. Increasing U.S. aid will certainly strengthen our energy system in this a difficult period", - Minister of Energy Herman Halushchenko noted.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in September, Germany additionally allocated EUR 100 million to support Ukraine's energy industry.
