Telegram restriction not apply to official channels of state authorities - NSDC
The restriction on the use of the Telegram messenger does not apply to the official Telegram channels of state authorities, but is of a recommendatory nature for the Government.
Oleksandr Lytvynenko, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC), announced this on Friday, September 20.
According to the results of the meeting of the National Cyber Security Coordination Center (NCSCC), it was recommended to limit the use of Telegram for official correspondence for official purposes and on official devices, Lytvynenko noted.
"The decision of the NCSCC is of a recommendatory nature for the Government, but it does not apply to the official Telegram channels of state authorities," the Secretary of the NSDC emphasized.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on September 7, the head of the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense, Kyrylo Budanov, announced that Telegram poses a threat to the national security of Ukraine.
On August 28, MP Mykyta Poturaiev stated that defending Telegram is the same as smearing the reputation of public organizations.
At the same time, for Ukrainians, Telegram remains the main social network for communication and receiving information.
