Russians hit boarding house for elderly people in Sumy.  1 person killed, 13 injured

On Thursday afternoon, russian troops attacked the building of a geriatric boarding house in Sumy with a guided aerial bomb. As a result of the attack, one person was killed and 13 people were injured.

The press service of the Ministry of Interior Affairs and the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration Volodymyr Artiukh informed about this on Telegram, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"Sumy. The Russians hit the five-story building of a geriatric boarding house. 1 person was killed, 12 were injured. 147 people were evacuated from the building. There are no people under the rubble," the Ministry of Interior Affairs reported.

As a result of the hit, the technical and fifth floors of the boarding house building were partially destroyed.

The head of Sumy Regional Military Administration Volodymyr Artiukh clarified that the russians dropped a guided aerial bomb on the boarding house.

He added that as of 7 p.m. it is already known about 13 wounded.

According to his data, there were 221 patients in the house for the elderly, of which 87 were disabled.

"Patients of the boarding house have been evacuated to places specially prepared for them, where all the necessary conditions have been created. People are provided with medical and psychological assistance," the head of the military administration said.
