Russians change their tactics near Pokrovsk and target city's infrastructure - AFU

The occupiers have changed the tactics of their actions near Pokrovsk of the Donetsk Region. The enemy has given up frontal attacks in the direction of the city and is trying to bypass it on the flanks.

The officer of the 59th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Serhii Tsehotskyi, told about this on the Espreso broadcast.

According to him, during the week the russians are trying to bypass Pokrovsk on the flanks.

"It is the north and the south where they have concentrated their most powerful force. First of all, the occupier is trying to break through our defenses with its infantry, it is always acting with the same small infantry groups," Tsehotskyi said.

The officer of the 59th brigade added that the russians have now targeted the infrastructure of Pokrovsk. This is evidenced by almost daily strikes on road bridges. Two of the three have been completely destroyed in recent days.

Tsekhotskyi noted that the russians always had this tactic - to destroy the entire infrastructure, and then try to enter the settlement.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on September 13, the head of the Pokrovsk District Military Administration, Volodymyr Zamotaiev, stated that the units of the russian army are already 7 kilometers from Pokrovsk.

It will be recalled that on the night of September 12-13, the occupiers attacked the Skhidnyi overpass in Pokrovsk. As a result of shelling, the bridge was destroyed.
