Air defense forces shoot down missile and 10 Shaheds during night attack of russians

On the night of Sunday, September 15, radio engineering troops of the Air Forces detected and escorted 17 air attack means of the russian occupiers.

It was reported by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

As noted, the russians hit the Odesa Region with two Iskander-M ballistic missiles from the occupied Crimea and one Kh-59 guided air missile from the airspace of the TOT of the Zaporizhzhia Region, as well as 14 Shahed-type attack UAVs (launch areas: Kursk - the aggressor country of the russian federation, Chauda - Crimea).

The enemy's air attack was repelled by anti-aircraft missile forces, mobile fire groups and units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine. As a result of the anti-aircraft battle, one Kh-59 guided air missile and 10 attack UAVs were shot down.

Air defense worked in the Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, Poltava and Mykolaiv Regions.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that the number of Patriot air defense systems in Ukraine is not enough, but the reality is more positive than official information.

Earlier, Zelenskyy said that in order to completely close the sky of Ukraine, it is necessary to have 25 Patriot systems. At the same time, he noted that for the protection of the sky, this is not the only system that Ukraine needs, but it is the most powerful.
