Russia will be invited to second Peace Summit in November - Zelenskyy
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that he intends to hold the second global peace summit in November, where he will present his vision of ending the war. The aggressor country russia will be invited to this event.
It was reported by Le Monde on Friday, September 13.
According to Zelenskyy, the breakthrough of the Ukrainian army into russia's Kursk Oblast was partly aimed at forcing russia into "honest" negotiations. The President said that he wants to hold another international peace summit in November, to which russia will be invited.
He did not provide specific details on how to end more than 30 months of fighting, saying only that his proposal would include "a system of interconnected solutions that will give Ukraine enough power -- enough to put this war on a path to peace," the publication quotes Zelenskyy's words.
The President of Ukraine also accused the West of being too "afraid" to even raise the issue of the possibility of shooting down russian missiles and drones, even though it helps Israel in this.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on September 9, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz advocated inviting the aggressor state russia to the second Peace Summit.
On July 8, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that an action plan should be prepared by the fall to restore Ukraine's energy security within the framework of the Peace Formula.
We will remind you that Ukraine has already started preparations for the second Peace Summit, to which russia may be invited.
