Putin orders to knock out AFU from Kursk Oblast by October 1 - Forbes

Russian dictator vladimir putin has ordered the armed forces of the aggressor country to expel Ukrainian troops from the Kursk Oblast.

Forbes reported this.

The publication noted that the breakthrough of the Armed Forces in the Kursk Oblast was a surprise for putin, and this is now "pressuring" him.

"Rightly embarrassed, Putin ordered the Kremlin to recapture Kursk by Oct. 1. And on Wednesday, Russian troops dutifully launched a counterattack along the western edge of the Ukrainian salient. “Russia's counteroffensive to drive Ukrainians out of the Kursk region has officially begun,” Finnish analyst Joni Askola announced.

Forbes reports that Ukraine has sent most of its best reserves and Western equipment, including elite airborne assault brigades, to the Kursk Oblast, and that the feasibility of advancing through the territory of the russian federation is still debatable.

"Two things are clear. Ukrainians need to strengthen their front line in the east and they will look to hold the territory in Kursk," said the British Secretary of State for Defense and Security John Healey.

If the Ukrainians keep the Kursk Oblast, they may be able to exchange the region at likely future peace talks, the publication notes.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on September 12, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the counterattack of the russian occupiers in the Kursk Oblast is developing according to the plan of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
