AFU repel 11 occupiers’ attacks on Pokrovsk axis, 4 more ongoing – General Staff
Since the beginning of the day, the russian occupiers have launched 15 attacks on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Pokrovsk axis in the Donetsk Region. Eleven of them were successfully repelled by the Ukrainian military.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has stated this in its evening operational update, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
The General Staff reported that fighting on this part of the front continues in the areas of nine settlements.
These are the city of Novohrodivka, the villages of Hrodivka, Panteleimonivka, Vozdvyzhenka, Zelene Pole, Myroliubivka, Mykolaivka, Mykhailivka, and Ptyche.
It is reported that fighting is currently going on in four locations.

As the Ukrainian News agency reported, earlier today, August 21, Deputy Commander of the 3rd Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Maksym Zhorin stated that the operation in the Kursk Oblast had no effect on the situation on the Pokrovsk axis.
Recall that on August 19, in Pokrovsk and surrounding settlements, against the background of the approach of russian troops, the forced evacuation of children was announced.
