AFU eliminate 1,210 occupiers, 25 units of armored vehicles and 60 artillery systems. General Staff names russia’s losses over day

Losses of personnel of the russian troops on August 20 increased by 1,210 to 603,010 people, Ukrainian defenders also destroyed 4 tanks, 21 armored fighting vehicles and 60 artillery systems.

This is reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The total combat losses of the enemy from February 24, 2022 to August 21, 2024 approximately amounted to:

• personnel - about 603,010 (+1,210) persons were eliminated;
• tanks - 8,522 (+4) units;
• armored combat vehicles - 16,542 (+21) units;
• artillery systems - 17,216 (+60) units;
• MLRS - 1,166 units;
• air defense equipment - 928 (+2) units;
• aircraft - 367 units;
• helicopters - 328 units;
• UAVs of the operational-tactical level - 13,902 (+38) units;
• cruise missiles - 2,442 (+4) units;
• ships/boats - 28 units;
• submarines - 1 unit;
• automotive equipment and tank trucks - 23,221 (+79) units;
• special equipment - 2,887 (+2) units.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the losses of personnel of the russian troops on August 19 increased by 1,330 to 601,800 people, Ukrainian defenders also destroyed 5 tanks, 26 armored combat vehicles and 52 artillery systems.
