Russia announces creation of military groups to protect Kursk, Bryansk and Belgorod Oblasts

The Ministry of Defense of the aggressor country of the russian federation has announced the creation of three groups of troops, which were named "Kursk", "Bryansk" and "Belgorod".

This is stated in the message of the press service of the russian Ministry of Defense.

It is reported that the russians have created a Coordination Council for Military Security of the Border Territories of the Kursk, Bryansk and Belgorod Oblasts.

Today, the Minister of Defense of russia Andrey Belousov held a meeting of the above Coordination Council.

During the meeting, it was decided to create groups of troops "Kursk", "Bryansk" and "Belgorod", which will be subordinate to the coordination center.

The russians did not specify which units will be part of the new groups. It is not clear whether new units will be created for this purpose, or whether they will be removed from the areas of the front in Ukraine.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on August 19, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the Ukrainian military controls 92 settlements in the Kursk Oblast.
