Indian Prime Minister Modi will visit Ukraine on August 23

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will pay an official visit to Ukraine on August 23.

This is stated in a message from the Office of the President, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"On August 23, on the Day of the National Flag of Ukraine, the official visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Ukraine will take place. This is the first visit of the head of the Indian government to our country in the history of bilateral relations," the message reads.

During the visit, in particular, negotiations will take place with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, during which they will discuss issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation.

A number of documents are also expected to be signed between Ukraine and India.

As the Ukrainian News agency reported, in early June, Zelenskyy congratulated Modi on the victory of his party in the parliamentary elections in the country and invited him to visit Ukraine.
